:iconryuuen:'s wonderful lineart colored by me :iconmichelleburnette: .

Lineart: [link]

I haven't had the patience to color something so complicated with markers before. Usually I mess up pretty bad in the middle and someone will get a big smudge through their face or something. I've been really trying to hone my traditional work up! (especially because I've purchased so many markers!)

I was pretty satisfied with the results. Maybe I will open up some collabs, where I color? Interested?

Again, I would love to get some feedback if you have the time!

That's some mad coloring right there. It's done real well, I'll say. c:

thanks Kealdi! I appreciate it. :)

woah! that's just gorgeous michi! I love all the texture! my only suggestion would be that the shading on the armor under his cloak could be a bit darker. the contrast there is a bit weak when compared to the stong contrast in the cloak.

You still have that awesome coloring style I've loved since the first time I saw you, only much more improved XD

Thanks! I only wish I was cool enough to draw such great lines so all my pieces would come out as cool.

Good point! I ran out of the blue I wanted, so the cloak kinda ended up a different color than I had originally intended. It's so weird using purples to shade... sometimes I forget about using grays as well.

Hey, question for you, what would you suggest for the best colors to use for skin? I want to get into coloring with markers more, but I haven't been able to find good skin tones...

What type of markers are you looking to use? I have like 15 colors for skin. The most important, IMO, is the LIGHTEST color. I use egg-shell in both copic and prismacolors. Light Peach is decent, but definitely darker. Copic has a better selection of skin tones. Dont forget a "sun tan" color, and orangey-pink lighter is best, and some kind of light mauve (a purple) for shadowing. I also like to use "Flesh," a copic color similar to Peach in the prismacolor series, only less radioactive. You can come over and see my collection and make some notes if you want. I tend to use a whole bunch or colors. (pinkish white, fruit pink, light peach, deco-pink/peach, among others...)
